blogging inspired dinner

I just had to share this with you all. This wonderful dinner was totallt inspired by a blogging buddie 2paw. If you would like the recipe hop along to her blog and you will find it. Along with fantastic photos.

Here are the couscous patties, lemon and dill sauce and for a little extra tuna and Italian pasta. It was loved by the entire family and makes a great vegetarian meal for my oldest.

And you cant go past jelly for after.

I still have a garden

It is so hard to believe that while NSW is in a state of emergency with their fires we are still waiting for our ground to dry out. The poor sheep have had a very wet time under foot and I have to remember to wear my gumboots if I stray from our paths so I dont end up with wet feet.
After our very hot last summer and the hungry wildlife I am happy to say I still have a few things growing in my garden, not as much as before but I think I can still call it a garden.

Our dam is full.

 A few plants none of the animals have ever tried to eat. Flax and cordaline.

As you can see here the animals have eaten the agapanthus all the way along the driveway. These were not one of my favourite plants but They look great as edging for the drive and nothing eats them, or so I thought.

More silk scarves for the fair

Here are a few more of my silk scarves ready for the Tasmanian craft fair.

Come along to the Tasmanian craft fair held in Deloraine from 1st to 4th November. It is a fantastic event with lots to see and do, then pop by the Handweavers spinners and dyers Guild stall where my scarves are for sale along with lots of other goodies from members.

Ready for the craft fair

I have been doing some dyeing for the Tasmanian craft Fair held in Deloraine from 1st to the 4th November. I had lots of fun creating a range of silk scarves dyed either with natural dye or commercial dyes.
They will be for sale, along with lots of other great hand crafted items at the Handweavers, spinners and dyers Guild stall at the fair.

Learn To Crochet Granny Squares in Hobart

NEW CRAFT CLASSES

The Handweavers, spinners and dyers guild of Tasmania are trialing some new craft classes. They will he held on the last Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm at the Guild rooms at St Georges Church, Battery Point.

The first class is on September 24th 2013 and is  Learn to CROCHET GRANNY SQUARES. If you thought granny squares were only for grannys then come along and see how they can brighten up any room or be used to make bags or cushions.
Come along, bring a friend and have some fun.

tour defleece 2013

Here is the finished skeins from my

time spinning along to the tour de fleece with ravelry. I set myself a little goal of trying to spin as much of my white fleece as I could. I spun all but one day over 21days.
